Student rush tickets are discounted tickets for students. These tickets are usually available for our Classical Series concerts, though it is not guaranteed for every performance. If available, you can purchase student rush tickets onsite at the box office about 30 minutes before the start of a performance. You must have a valid student ID to receive student rush pricing.
If you have questions about availability or procedures for student rush seating, please call or email the HSO office in advance of the concert to check.
To order online, head to our concert and events page and select your desired concert, then click on the “Order now” link. Online ticketing using our secure system is the fastest way to reserve your seats for any concert. All of the information you provide is private and safe.
Through online ordering, you can choose your method of delivery: print at home, mail, or will-call pick up. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been received.
To order your tickets by phone, call the HSO office at 256-539-4818. One of our staff members will be more than happy to help you out!

We accept American Express, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard for purchases.
We sell tickets in-person at the HSO office on weekdays from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the day of Saturday concerts. Our office is located in the NE corner of the Von Braun Center complex, near the intersection of Monroe and Clinton. Park in the Clinton lot, and use the Mars Music Hall entrance.
The $6 processing fee is waived for all walk-in orders.
Gift vouchers are the perfect way to spread the magic of the orchestra! Vouchers are valid throughout the season in which they were purchased and may be redeemed for any concert for the recipient.
Customize your amount (pay for one concert, 3 concerts, or any number of concerts!) and send the vouchers straight to the recipient’s email address.
All single-ticket sales are final. Refunds are not offered for ticket purchases, except for canceled events. Postponed or rescheduled events will not be refunded. Single tickets cannot be recycled or exchanged.
The ticket exchange policy is designed to help subscribers avoid schedule conflicts and receive the full value of their subscription tickets. Subscribers may exchange their subscription tickets for any other concert remaining in the current season. 24 hours’ notice is required.
If you are a season subscriber, who cannot attend a concert, and do not wish to exchange your tickets for another concert, you can receive credit for a charitable donation equal to the purchase price by recycling your tickets. Recycle by phone at 256-539-4818 or online prior to 3 PM on the day of the performance.
